DAGSA Board Meeting Minutes

     Meeting:  Sunday, October17, 2010

 

     Attendees:  Ron Baker, Tammy Sheibley,   Kelly Hammaker, Nancy Lucia,

        Bob Armstrong, Tina Shafer, Jason Urich, Andy Kreiger,

 

     Absent:  Timi Lesperance, Phil Klinger, Jim Reed, Shannon Callaghan

Meeting Discussion Items:

 

Ron Baker called Meeting to order:

 

1.      Treasurer’s Report - Tammy stated that she paid Penn Twp $1,000 and Wheatfield Twp $750 for last year’s field and concession use.  No other changes were made.  Motion to accept – Bob – 1st Andy – 2nd.

 

2.      We had Election of Officers – Everyone ran unopposed and all were agreed and        voted on by the board.

                Tammy Sheibley – Treasurer

 

3.      Concession Discussion – Ron had prepared a letter to take to the meetings this week.   Penn Township- Tuesday and Wagner –Thursday to see if they have any problems/issues with DAGSA using the concession trucks for next season.

 

4.      Tammy handed out an updated Sponsor List to date. There was a couple more added at the meeting.  It’s looking pretty good.  We just need a couple more. 

 


 

5.      It was brought again up about the By-Laws in reference to All-Stars be looked at for next year. Also coaching needs looked at next year too for League and All-Stars.  This was table until the next meeting or until we come up with something.

6.      Discussion on Slow Pitch Options – We all decided that we would like some more information from the West Shore League.  They are having a meeting the 2nd week of November.  Someone will need to attend.  We are going to compact a letter to send out to 14&U,18&U and the 10U parents who move up to see what their opinion will be.  We want to do what the parents/kids want.  Steve will put a survey on the website for the parents to vote and comment.  They have until Nov 10th, to do this.  If they don’t have the internet they can call Timi and let a message. We decided as a board that we didn’t want to redraft this year in the 14&U and 18&U age groups, so that means the Suburban League is out, because of the different age groups they have.  We motioned to not go with Suburban for that reason.  1st – Bob, 2nd – Tammy.

 

7.      Equipment and Key turn in Oct 31 at 4:00 at the Penn Twp Shed.  We will  

               organize the shed that day. 

 

          8.   Next Meeting, Sunday, November 14th at 7:00 P.M.
