DAGSA Board Meeting Minutes

Meeting: Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at 6:00 PM at Penn Twp Mun Bldg

Attendees: Andy Kreiger, Timi Lesperance, Tammy Sheibley, Jason Urich, Tina Shafer, Ron Baker, Kelly Hammaker, Jim Reed, Bob Armstrong

Absent: Shannon Callaghan, Phil Klinger, Nancy Lucia

Meeting Discussion Items:

1. Call to Order – Meeting called to order at 6:09 PM by Ron Baker.

2. Meeting Minutes –motion to approve February board meeting minutes – Jim Reed, second – Jason Urich; motion passed. Minutes were accepted.

3. Treasury Report - nothing new to report, no changes.

4. Coach’s Meeting– Tammy will make up coach’s packets. Timi will get Tammy copies of the U14 and U18 waivers for younger players in the in-field and the West Shore playing rules. The Perry County Fast Pitch rules are available on their website. All assistant coaches need clearances through ASA. We will need their name, driver license number and phone numbers. Coaches should contact Tammy with their assistant’s information.

5. Field Work Days - Penn will be on April 2 – rain date April 9 - both at 9:00 am
Wagner will be on April 9 – rain date April 10^th – both at 9:00 am

6. Sponsorships – Tammy provided latest list of sponsors. We have a total of 10 sponsors for teams and 3 general sponsors.

7. Opening Day – Paige Lucia, Jess Neidinger and Caty Humphrey will sing the national anthem.

8. Open Discussion – sleeveless shirts will cost $3 per shirt, will ask if the coaches are willing to pay the difference.
Jim Reed suggested a special fundraiser for Bob Larish, maybe on May 6,7,8.
There will be a U18 Fast Pitch tournament on June 4^th.
50/50 procedures need finalized and relayed to the coaches on how to handle for games.
