BOARD MEETING

Minutes 12/30/2012

The meeting of the DAGSA Board was held on December 30, 2012. Board members present were Ron Baker, Jason Urich, Tina Shaffer, Andy Kreiger, Jim Evans, Jason Brouse, Tammy Sheibley and Nancy Lucia.

The meeting was called to order at 6:40 PM by President Ron Baker. Minutes of the November 18^th meeting were read and approved by motion of Jim Evans and 2^nd by Andy.

There have been no deposits or expenditures to the treasurer’s report since last meeting.

OLD BUSINESS

Still some equipment not turned in. (Stars from 2 years ago, Giants and Flash.)Tammy will contact Lindsey Melnick and Brian Jones.

DAGSA LETTERS TO PARENTS were distributed. (For future use a DAGSA Heading should be at the top of the letter.)

SPONSOR LETTERS

4 or 5 repeat sponsors took advantage of discount. New letters sent out to prospective businesses.

2013 SIGN-UPS

January 9 from 6-8PM and January 19^th from 1-3PM.

Nancy will submit Advertisement to run on BRC Cable station. Posts on Facebook will also serve to remind players to register.

After the 19^th, board members will call players who did not sign up.

Drop Dead registration date will be January 27^th. The Board will then determine the number of teams for the season, and name coaches.

Anyone interested in coaching needs to send a letter of interest to Ron.

WEST SHORE LEAGUE (report by Jason)

- No formal Board or committee so far.

- Plan to establish a Rules Committee…Jason and Tammy are being cc’d.

- $900 in former account will be kept in separate CH acct.

PERRY COUNTY LEAGUE

- 10U will be kept in Perry league

- Entry fee increased to $75 per team

- DAGSA will hold 10U tournament May 10-12^th. The following week there will be a tournament in New Cumberland.

- Playoffs will be in Shermansdale

PECO FAST PITCH LEAGUE

- Meeting will be held on 1/20 at 4:00PM

FIRECRACKER TOURNAMENT proposal

- Dates will be June 28-30

- Age groups: 10U, 12U, 14U, 18U Slow Pitch

- Entrance fee $225

NEW BUSINESS

Motion by Nancy to advertise the “firecracker” tournament online to see if there is enough interest from other teams to participate. Tina 2^nd.

Next West Shore meeting will be on 2/9 at Noon Camp Hill Borough Bld.

By-Law changes will be voted on at January meeting.

OPENING DAY

Tammy will check with Timi about helping with layout of program.

Nancy will get program prices from Huggins Printing and MASH.

Kelly will make contact with Scouts for Flag presentation

Nancy will contact perspective National Anthem Performers

Tammy will contact photographer
