BOARD MEETING

Minutes 4/7/13

The meeting of the DAGSA Board was held on April 7, 2013. Board members present were Ron Baker, Jason Urich, Tina Shaffer, Andy Kreiger, Jim Evans, Jason Brouse, Tammy Sheibley, Kelly Hammaker, Keith Rudy and Nancy Lucia.

The meeting was called to order at 4:08 PM by President Ron Baker. Change was made to mention that some game locations were changes to better concession revenue. Minutes of the March 10^th meeting were read including changes and approved by motion of Andy Kreiger and 2^nd by Tammy Sheibley.

Treasurer’s Report:

Profits not final for sandwich sale yet. Sold over 1,000 sandwiches.

Sponsors:

$3,500 collected for sponsors. One has not paid, will bring total to $3,800. Juke Box Hits providing services on Opening Day in lieu of $300 sponsor fee.

Work Days:

Penn Twp. went very well, great participation. Thank You to Phil Klinger for dragging fields leading up to work days. Saved a lot of time.

Fryer was cleaned and power washed.

Pneumatic tires are on Fryer. New grills were assembled. Thanks Heath

Question was asked by Jason Brouse as to how we know if individuals pass background checks. Cards are supposed to be sent to individuals and organization is notified if someone fails. Tammy will check with Sue Robinson.

Tina is stocking Penn Twp. Concession of 4/15. Wagner will get stacked later in the week.

Old Business:

Do we have a tax exempt number? Tammy will look into.

Ron submitted a letter of recommendation on behalf of DAGSA to Wheatfield twp. to aid them in receiving a grant.

New Business:

Pitching machine is missing the transport wheels.

Ron Baker will contact Associated Products for a Port-a-Pot at Wagner.

Ron is ordering additional base plugs w/tassels.

Ron will order pitchers mounds that are easily moveable.

Bases will be in the sheds with wheel barrels.

We will purchase 1 set of breakaway bases this year and 2 next year.

Tammy will send an email to anyone who has not paid registration fee yet.

Balls and umpires fees will be handed out at opening day.

4/19 5:30 set up for opening day.
