BOARD MEETING

Minutes 10/13/13

The meeting of the DAGSA Board was held on October 16, 2013. Board members present were Ron Baker, Jason Urich, Andy Kreiger, Jim Evans, Jason Brouse, Tammy Sheibley, Jennifer Swails.

Absent: Keith Rudy, Heath Sands, Lindsey Melnick

The meeting was called to order at 6:00 PM by President Ron Baker.

Minutes were not read from April 7^th meeting. Nancy Lucia turned in her Resignation.

Treasurer’s Report:

Tammy Sheibley presented Accounting data for the 2013 season for the Board to review. Opening Day, Sandwich Sales, Firecracker were all good profitable fundraisers.

Election of Officers:

President: Ron Baker nominated by JU, TS second. All in favor

Vice President: Jason Urich nominated by TS, AK second. All in favor

Treasurer: Tammy Sheibley nominated by JE, JU second. All in favor

Secretary: Jennifer Swails nominated by TS, JB second. All in favor

Old Business:

JS made a motion to pay Penn Twp. $1,000.00 for use of fields and concession stand. TS second. All in favor.

JE made a motion to pay Wagner Park $1,000.00 for use of fields and concession stand. AK second. All in favor

TS made a motion to get plaques for Sponsors with Team picture. JE second. All in favor.

New Business:

JS mentioned having tournament and regular season menus to simplify concession duties. Board to consider menu options.

JU mentioned that the field liners are in poor condition and the board should consider purchasing at least one new one for each park. JU to research pricing.

JE also wanted the board to consider purchasing new filed drags and home plates. JU to research pricing.

Layout of fields should be checked in the spring.

JB mentioned having a paid Field Manager to take care of field maintenance and set up before games. Board needs to research having paid personnel and fiduciary impact.

JS mentioned that the Concession Fee process needs clearly written out and defined. JS also believes that 1 regular season game should count towards concession fee along with 2 other commitments.

JB encouraged the board to have hard fast by-law that they stand behind.

Next Meeting November 17, 4:00pm at Penn Twp. building.
