BOARD MEETING

Minutes 12/15/13

The meeting of the DAGSA Board was held on December 15, 2013. Board Members present were Ron Baker, Tammy Sheibly, Jen Swails, Jason Urich, Andy Kreiger, Jim Evans and Lindsey Melnick.

Absent: Keith Rudy and Jason Brouse, Heath Sands

The meeting was called to order at 4:25 pm by President Ron Baker. Minutes from the November 17, 2013 meeting were handed out all members to review. Tammy made the motion to accept the minutes, seconded by Andy.

Treasurer’s Report

Tammy reported that both Penn & Wagner were paid $1,000 each as well as $350 for the sponsor trophies.

Two sponsors had submitted their checks for 2014 sponsorship taking advantage of the discounted sponsorship rate.

Parent Letter

Parent letters/mailings were assembled and would go out after the 1^st of the year to notify of registration dates.

Fliers will also go to the Elementary and Middle School for registration as well as the for the clinic to be held for t-ball and U10 at Cornerstone.

OLD BUSINESS

Reviewing different home plates to determine the need. Field Liners – small ones work well, need 2 for each filed. Ron will continue to research. Will need 1-2 sets of break- away bases.

Will discuss having the wheelchair accessible portable toilets at Penn all season.

NEW BUSINESS

10-U will remain in Perry County League, all other age groups will be in West Shore League. The next meeting of the West Shore slow pitch will be held on January 11 at noon at ABC Brewery.

Need to review uniform design to ensure that the proper league patch is displayed on the uniforms.

The implementation of a late fee and./or a drop dead date for registration was discussed, but tabled until the next meeting.

U10 Tournament dates are set:

April 25&26 – Shermansdale

May 9&10 – Newport

June 13&14 – Playoffs/Duncannon

Next meeting will be held January 26, 2013 at the Penn Twp Building at 3pm, immediately following registration.
