DAGSA Board Meeting 11/2/14

Absent:  Heath Sands, Mike Brandt and Lindsey Melnick

 

Meeting was called to order at 5:08 pm

 

Letters of Interest received for new board members from Marty Glace and Greg Lingle.

 

Marty Glace: Andy motioned, Jason Brouse 2nd. Motion pass

 

Greg Lingle: Jen Swails motioned, Jason Brouse Second . Motion pass

 

Tammy presented Treasury report

Income down on 50/50.  Is it worth the small games of chance licensing fee of $100.  Think about pass the hat instead of 50/50 and only do the 50/50 at tournaments.

 

Jason Urich motion to accept treasurers report, Andy seconded.

 

DAGSA Website: 

Having some issues with getting information.  Ron not getting information from the DAGSA website.  Going to check with Steve about posting direct email instead of going through DAGSA.

 

Presidents Report:

Portajohn use required 18 page application to get approval for that at Penn

Twp.  Light took over a month to repair.

Need Dimatex for Penn Twp.  They will order for us.

 

Incidents from previous year were reviewed and acted upon.

 

Discuss the need to encourage coaches evaluations, make it a more prominent tool for parents to use.

 

Tammy will send out sponsor letters.  $250 before 12/31 and $300 after that.

 

Parents letter.  We need to send out letter and offer 8u, 10u, 12u, 14u, 18u

fast patch as well as slow pitch.  Slow pitch may need to move to West Shore league.

Will need to review registration form to ensure we have options clear.

 

Need to have all registration complete by January.  Finalize the letter.  Next

year do a more complete job of explanation of team duties, concession etc.  In addition to coaches meeting Jen will hold Team Parent Meeting.

 

Next meeting will be scheduled December 7th at 4pm at Penn Twp.

Registration Dates:  January 5th 6-7pm, January 18th 3-5pm, January 25th 4-5pm.
