DAGSA Softball Board Meeting October 29, 2018

Present: Ron Baker, Joey Gonzalez, Andy Kreiger, Greg Lingle, Patty Clouser, Dave Prinz, Jen Swails, Jason Urich, Sharon Taube, Tammy Sheibley

Absent: Doug Young, Marty Glacé, Corey Fleisher, Holli Reidlinger, Jason Brouse, Jim Evans

Mike Brandt and Heath Sands have resigned. Jason Urich will also resign.

Election of Officers:
President: Ron (all in favor)
Vice President: Andy (all in favor)
Treasurer: Tammy (all in favor)
Secretary: Jen (all in favor)

Treasurers Report: Tammy presented and Jen motioned to accept with Sharon seconding.

The batting cage net needs to be taken down. 3:30 on November 12th is the date planned to remove. Joey and Greg are able to assist.

Jen motions to keep the fees the same for 2019 as in 2018. Joey seconds. All approve. $55 for registration, $25 tball and $75 for volunteer fee.

Appropriate Age bracket: Players must be registered in their appropriate age bracket. Any exception must be requested in writing at registration and is subject to board approval.
Andy motions, Joey Seconds, All in favor. Motion passes.

Jason mentions an option that if a player is entering the age bracket outside of their appropriate age bracket, they would be placed in a supplemental draft and be drafted after the players age appropriate.
Something to consider for by-laws regarding draft order.

18U players: Need to have a plan if no other towns have teams, perhaps go to several tournaments. No charge at registration until numbers are determined.

Date for next meeting: December 2nd 6pm at Penn Twp.

Registration date: January 9th 6-7, January 13th 2-4pm, January 20th 3-4, board meeting 4-5, Perry County Meeting 5pm
January 27th By-laws meeting at Sorrentos 5pm
